Concept’s highly advanced, aluminium-intensive modular architecture provides the flexibility to deliver a great range of models without compromising the unique character, design, vehicle dynamics, performance and luxury that Jaguar is renowned for.

The first production Jaguar that is based on the all-new architecture will be on sale in 2015. This new, mid-sized premium sports sedan will be powered by engines with a wide range of capacities and outputs, all delivering inspirational performance and offering the latest innovations in fuel-efficient technologies without sacrificing drivability.

First revealed in Frankfurt, followed by appearances in Dubai and Los Angeles with its stunning Liquid Aluminium exterior, an ultra luxurious version of C-X17 Concept in ‘Liquid Gold’ made its first appearance in China.

ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY

1 REAR WHEEL DRIV

In normal grip conditions C-X17 Concept’s intelligent All-Wheel Drive system delivers traction to the rear wheels. This is unique in the Sports Crossover segment and helps provide the renowned Jaguar dynamic driving experience. The system continuously monitors the road surface to pre-empt and react to wheel slip for greater driver confidence and improved vehicle stability in low grip conditions.

2 TORQUE VECTORING

Giving the driver even more control and improved cornering, Torque Vectoring by Braking (TVbB) helps the vehicle maintain the desired path and reduces the likelihood of oversteer.

3 REAR EXIT DETECTION

Taking care of all occupants as they go to open the vehicle’s doors, C-X17 Concept features Rear Exit Detection. This advanced active safety aid warns of approaching objects that may be hidden in the passengers’ blind spot.

4 FUEL ECONOMY

Inspirational performance, driveability and excellent fuel economy. C-X17 Concept offers a range of engines with differing capacities, including a new family of high-output and efficient four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. C-X17 Concept has class-leading efficiency and CO2 emissions thanks to its highly efficient engines and all-new intelligent aluminium architecture.
